Born in Taiwan, Emily Ting is an award-winning writer, director, and producer. Her latest release GIRL HAUNTS BOY, starring Peyton List and Michael Cimino, premiered on Netflix in the fall of 2024 and garnered two Emmy nominations. Before that, she directed Netflix's TALL GIRL 2, the sequel to the hit teen rom-com, which was released worldwide over Valentine's Day weekend in 2022. She also wrote and directed the independent features ALREADY TOMORROW IN HONG KONG (theatrically released in 2016) and GO BACK TO CHINA (premiered at SXSW in 2019).
As a screenwriter, Emily co-wrote several Hallmark holiday films, including CHRISTMAS WITH THE SINGHS (2024), SEALED WITH A LIST (2023) and CHRISTMAS AT THE GOLDEN DRAGON (2022). She is currently developing MERRY FRIENDSMAS for the network. Her latest script RED ENVELOPE, a Lunar New Year rom-com, made The Love List in 2026.

Emily resides in Los Angeles with her twins Austin and Celeste, and is represented by Verve Agency.
