Atul Rajkule began his journey in Bollywood in 1985-86 as a theatre actor and photographer, starting with Prithvi Theatre, Juhu, and Om Katare's YATRI Theatre group. He photographed numerous stage artists, including Lillyput, Sangeeta Naik, Surendra Pal, Vinod Kapoor, and Rekha Sahay, and contributed to Shashi Kapoor & Sanjana Kapoor's Prithvi Festival souvenirs. He is a registered member of the Cine Still TV & Motion Photographers Association (2001) and serves as its Secretary, and is also a member of the Film Writers Association (1990).
He worked as a freelance photojournalist for film magazines like Meri Saheli and Printworld, and modeled for editor Narendra Gupta's Karamchand and Dafa 302. His television debut was in the Marathi serial Paramveer (Doordarshan, 1987-88), and he later photographed and acted in iconic mythological series, including B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat and Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna, collaborating with actors Puneet Issar, Pankaj Dheer, Swapnil Joshi, and Vinod Kapoor.
Rajkule worked as chief assistant director, still photographer, and actor in Hindi films like Allaha Meherban Toh Gadha Pehelwan (1991) and as still photographer for Hema Malini's productions, including Mohini (Zee TV, 1992-93) and Women of India (DD National, 1994-95). He also photographed government documentaries, bilingual films (Manadu Maange Preet, 2000-01), and regional Marathi television series such as Aakashjhep (ETV Marathi, 2003-04).In 2009, he co-produced the multi-starrer Marathi film Topi Ghala Re, released in 2010, featuring Arun Nalawade, Preeya Berde, Alka Kubal, Vijay Chavan, Mukta Barve, and others.
