Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Bat-Sheva is an award-winning director and writer. She weaves dance and magic into visually compelling, character-driven stories. She directed the pilot episode of Reading Rainbow Live, bringing back the beloved tv show to a new generation of viewers. She has also directed a segment for Sesame Street.

Guez has directed over 20 short films and screened in festivals worldwide including the Hamptons International Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, the Newport Beach Film Festival, the Brooklyn Film Festival and more.

Selected Accolades: Selected as a "Series Creator to Watch" by The Gotham, including participation in The Gotham Week, 2024. Selected to New York Stage & Film Screenwriting Lab Finalist for the Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship Recipient of the JT3 Artist Award for Screenwriting & Directing Awarded screenwriting residencies by the Lighthouse Film Festival Full Scholarship to the Nostros Screenwriting Retreat in Tuscany.

Her film, In This Life, won Best Experimental Film at the Brooklyn Film Festival and Best Musical at the Oscar-qualifying Rhode Island Int'l Film Festival, and played to a sold out theater at Lincoln Center's Dance on Camera Festival. Broadcasted on All Arts, the film has received press and accolades from NY Times, LA Review of Books, Forbes, and others.

Her film, Behind the Wall, won 8 awards including among others, Best Director at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Moondance Film Festival and the Panavision Grant for Best Cinematography at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. The film went on to screen at 28 festivals and screenings worldwide. Dance Magazine called it: "The Genre-Defying Dance film you didn't know you needed in your life."

She is a co-producer on the feature documentary, Being Bebe: the Bebe Zahara Benet Documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, was a NY Times Critic's Pick, won Best Documentary at the Sound Unseen Film Festival, and has received global distribution from OutTV, Peacock, and Fuse among others.

A graduate of Vassar College, she lives in New York directing branded content for clients like Lincoln Center, JP Morgan, Conde Nast, Pfizer, and others. She sits on the board of Lookfar Conservation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving wild and wondrous places.
