With over 25 years of experience in education, Mark Thompson is a professional licensed chaperone and tutor who supports productions from prep to wrap. He specialises in guiding young cast members to reach their full potential while ensuring productions remain compliant with child performance licensing requirements.
After earning Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2008, he transitioned into the entertainment industry, where he has spent more than 12 years working as a trusted tutor and chaperone. His credentials include Level 2 and 3 Safeguarding certifications, NSPCC training in Protecting Children in Entertainment, City & Guilds Accreditation and membership of the National Network for Children in Employment and Entertainment (NNCEE) and the Association of Child Protection Professionals.
Dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and legally compliant environment on set, Thompson is fully licensed (as of November 2025), holds business and public liability insurance, and possesses a clean UK driving licence, making him a reliable and comprehensive asset to any production involving young performers.
