Nick Platzer is a director-cinematographer and the founder of NIX.Film, a boutique production outfit on Lake Constance, Germany. His work blends observational documentary with crafted, cinematic imagery-often in remote locations-and spans commercials, branded mini-docs, and character-driven nonfiction. A licensed drone/FPV operator and experienced colorist (Dolby Vision HDR), Platzer handles projects from on-location capture through finishing.
(2024) Collaborations included Greenpeace on campaigns with environmental and social themes. (August 2025) Platzer is developing Dreaming Against the Odds, a series that interweaves stories of "radical dreamers" across continents to reveal the human search for freedom and belonging. He studied Digital Media Management at the Cologne Business School and works in both German and English.
