Sumit Bharadwaaj is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and theatre artist, and a graduate in Screen Acting from the Tripura Film & Television Institute (TFTI) in 2024 . With over seven years of theatre experience across India and Dubai, he has performed with acclaimed theatre groups including Pierrot’s Troupe and Ashmita Theatre, portraying iconic literary, historical, and political figures such as Mirza Ghalib, Sahir Ludhianvi, Dagh Dehlvi, Akbar Allahabadi, Hasrat Mohani, Momin Khan Momin, Bahadur Shah Zafar, Maharana Pratap, Alauddin Khilji, and J. B. Kripalani. He also continues to perform his solo stage production Parchhaiyaan, inspired by the poetry of Sahir Ludhianvi.
On screen, he has appeared in the feature film Safarnama (2024), the short film Aitraaf (2021), and several micro-drama series. As a filmmaker, he wrote and directed the silent short film A Day Unspoken.
He has also worked as an Associate Director on Shri Krishna: Ek Sanskritik Anubhuti (2020), Panchtatva Mein Jeevan (2022), and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.Committed to emotionally truthful performances and meaningful storytelling, he continues to explore compelling characters across theatre and cinema.
