Jacob Gambina

Jacob Gambina is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, editor, and production professional with experience spanning post-production, camera, grip, and lighting departments. Coming from three generations of filmmakers, Jacob grew up surrounded by storytelling and developed a passion for film through the stories and experiences shared by his grandfather, whose work included appearances in films such as Rocky, Rocky V, and Saturday Night Fever. That early connection to storytelling inspired Jacob’s interest in documentary filmmaking and character-driven visual narratives. A graduate of California State University, Northridge with a degree in Cinema and Television Arts emphasizing post-production, Jacob has worked across narrative films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, branded media, and digital content. His experience includes editing, assistant editing, grip and electric work, camera operation, and social media content production for organizations and productions including American Film Institute, CSUN Sundial, Creative World Hollywood, and Gambina Productions. Known for his adaptable "jack-of-all-trades" approach on set, Jacob is passionate about collaborative filmmaking, visual storytelling, and creating content that connects authentically with audiences across both cinematic and digital platforms.
