Biography

Edwin Gregson was born on August 7, 1938 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor. He was married to May Britt. He died on June 4, 2000 in South Pasadena, California, USA.

Worked as a cowboy then became a successful trainer of Thoroughbred racehorses. He won the 1982 Kentucky Derby with Gato Del Sol.

At the time of his death Gregson was president of the California Thoroughbred Trainers Association. He also served as secretary and director of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

Eddie Gregson dropped out of college after two years to study acting in New York and worked in summer stock. After a brief marriage to May Britt he returned to his studies at Stanford University and graduated with a major in European history.
