Biography

David Madden was born on July 25, 1933 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. He is a writer, known for The Suicide's Wife (1979). He has been married to Roberta Margaret Young since September 6, 1956. They have one child.

Was drafted into the United States Army, serving from 1955-56.

He graduated from from the University of Tennessee in 1957 with a B.S. in education, earned an M.A. in creative writing at San Francisco State in 1958, and attended Yale School of Drama on a John Golden Fellowship from 1959 to 1960.
