Biography

Kalan Porter was born on November 11, 1985 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. He is an actor, known for Canadian Idol (2003), Kalan Porter: Single (2004) and Kalan Porter: Destination (Where I Belong) (2007).

Winner of Canadian Idol (2003) 2.

The title of his debut album, "219 Days", is the time-frame from the date he auditioned for Canadian Idol (2003) 2 to the date of the album's release.

Kalan grew up on a buffalo/cattle ranch in southern Alberta.

Kalan is a classically trained violinist and violist. He is also proficient in piano and guitar.

Older brother of MacKenzie Porter.
