Biography

Began music studies when he was 8 years old. Played trumpet in the first McDonald's All-American High School Band (1967). Played guitar and bass guitar professionally but has never had a guitar lesson.

Signed his first book contract with Dodd, Mead, for "Presenting the Marching Band" when he was 21.

His screenplay for The Lesson was the Winner in the short screenplay category at the 2021 Hong Kong Indie Film Festival, 2021 New Jersey Film Awards, 2020 Los Angeles Film Awards, 2020 Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift, and 2020 Long Island East-End Film Festival. It was a Nominee (Finalist) at the 2021 Accord Cine Fest, a Finalist at the Summer 2021 4Theatre Festival, a Finalist at the 2021 Big Apple Film Festival and Screenplay Competition, a Semi-Finalist at the 2021 Chicago Screenplay Awards, 2022 Rio De Janeiro World Film Festival and 2020 Festigious (Los Angeles) International Festival, and received Honorable Mention at the 2020 Niagara Falls International Short Festival. The Lesson also was an Official Selection at the 2021 Kalakari Film Fest, 2021 Vesuvius International Film Fest and Hollywood on the Tiber Festival.

His screenplay for Rhine Stone Land was the Winner of the 2022 Best Comedy Screenplay - Award of Excellence at the Vegas Movie Awards, the 2021 Best Comedy Screenplay at the Los Angeles Film Awards, Best Feature Screenplay at the New Jersey Film Awards and the Accord Cine Fest, and Best Screenplay at the Fall 2021 4Theatre Festival. It also was a Nominee at the 2022 Sensei Tokyo FilmFest and the 2022 Lone Wolf International Film Festival (UK) for Best Feature Screenplay and Best Comedy Screenplay, and at the 2021 Hollywood International Golden Age Film Festival for Best Feature Screenplay; a Finalist in the Best North American Screenplay category at the Continental Film Awards, a Finalist in the Best Feature Screenplay category in the Miami Screenplay Awards, a Semi-Finalist at the Chicago Screenplay Awards, and an Official Selection at the LA Indies and Chicago Indie Film Awards. Rhine Stone Land also was a Semi-Finalist in the Best Original Story category at the 2022 Vegas Movie Awards and won the Special Jury Award for Best Feature Screenplay at the 2022 Sunworld International Film Festival.

His screenplay for Broadband, co-written with Brian Weber, was the Winner of the Best Comedy Screenplay at the 2021 Festigious Los Angeles International Film Festival, Best Short Script at the 2021 Accord Cine Fest and the Best Unproduced Script at the Paris International Short Festival. It also was a Nominee at the San Francisco Indie Short Festival, and a TV Pilot Script Semi-Finalist at the 2021 Big Apple Film Festival & Screenplay Competition, the 2021 Atlanta International Screenplay Awards, the 2021 Vienna Indie Short Festival, and the 2021 Hong Kong Indie Film Festivals. It also won Honorable Mention in the short screenplay category at the 2021 New Jersey Film Awards and was a Quarter Finalist at the 2021 Filmmatic TV Pilot Awards.
