Leonid Tur was born on 11 April 1905 in Tahancha, Kyiv Governorate, Russian Empire [now Tahancha, Cherkasy Raion, Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine]. He was a writer, known for Vstrecha na Elbe (1949), Ispytanie vernosti (1954) and Bespokoynoe khozyaystvo (1946). He died on 14 February 1961 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia].
