Alexander Granström is a Sweden-based sound designer and visual creative making his directorial and screenwriting debut with the psychological horror film Stygian. With a background in music and storytelling, Granström developed a passion for atmospheric horror at a young age after first seeing A Nightmare on Elm Street. Over the years, his interest shifted toward more psychological, slow-burning narratives-focusing on dread, ambiguity, and isolation.
Driven by a desire to tell emotionally grounded horror stories, Granström is developing Stygian as an independent production under the Godhouse banner. He serves as the film's writer, director, cinematographer, editor and composer. With Stygian, Granström aims to create a haunting and personal experience rooted in Scandinavian folklore and the blurred line between reality and delusion.
