Afshan Azad, who is of Bangladeshi descendant, was born on February 12, 1988 in Manchester, England. She is an actress who is mostly known for her play in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009).

She is of Bangladeshi ancestry although both she and her parents were born in the UK.

Good friends with Harry Potter co-stars Scarlett Hefner, Bonnie Wright and Katie Leung. Wright and Leung attended her wedding to Nabil Kazi in August 2018.

She attended Whalley Range High School for Girls before leaving to do her AS and A-Levels (her final two years of school) at Xaverian College.

Announced both of her pregnancies on social media in April 2021 and March 2024.
