Biography

American film producer-writer-executive. He wrote and produced the TV movie Crazy Times (1981), a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story set in Queens, New York. As an attorney and executive, he worked for New World Television, American-International Pictures, Triad Artists, and the ABC television network. He was a dog lover and committed time and effort on behalf of pro-animal causes. He died in his home in West Los Angeles following a long illness with prostate cancer and was survived by his daughter Dawn and son, producer-director Matt Reeves.

Geroge C. Reeves Jr., December 9, 1937 - March 24, 2016, died in hospice at his West Hollywood home after a long bout with prostrate cancer. His children, Dawn and Matthew were at his side. He was 78 years old. During his lifetime George worked variously as a successful lawyer and business affairs executive at American International Pictures, the American Broadcasting Company, Intermedia Entertainment, Triad Talent Agency, and New World Television, as well as being a television producer and writer. In 1981 George wrote and produced the semi-autobiographical "Crazy Times," starring Ray Liotta, David Caruso, and Michael Pare. But dogs were his greatest passion, and he devoted much of his time and interest to the protection of animals.
