Biography

Miguel Parra is a filmmaker and journalist. From 2013 he's building a career as Screenwriter, director and producer in cinema. Previously to cinema he started as technician in Canal+Spain (Now Movistar+): there and since 1990 he has developed a career in TV till his present situation as journalist, writer and talent giving him experience both behind and in front of the camera.

As journalist he was one of the first award analyst in Spain.

His films deal with social issues like evictions, religious extremism, Historic memory or sexual identity.

As journalist has been always connected with Spanish cinema doing many documentaries about Spanish language films.

His debut in Sin Respuesta was shortlisted for the Goya Award as best fiction short film. Also was selected in competition at the Clermont-Ferrand film festival of 2014.

He has worked in almost all the Academy Awards broadcast for Spain both in Canal+Spain and Movistar+Spain. Both in front or behind the camera. Also in other awards like Golden Globes or Emmy.
