  • Octavio Lahiri Vourvoulias is an actor and playwright based in Brooklyn. He has trained with the British American Drama Academy, Powerhouse Theater at Vassar, Linklater Voice Seminar in Stromboli, Italy, the Stella Adler Studio, and the Matthew Corozine Studios, and has appeared in numerous stage and screen productions. Theatrical highlights: Charley's Aunt (Rome Savoyards Company), Anointed With Gasoline (NOMADS, Barnard College), Pink (Columbia School Of The Arts), The Sea Does Not Reach Naples (Columbia School Of The Arts), Helenephoria (Barnard-Columbia Ancient Drama), Macbeth (Powerhouse Theater At Vassar), Mangled House (Barnard-Columbia Ancient Drama), V From Vitality (The Tank). Film highlights: Kolobok: The Little Round Bun (Coney Island Film Festival, Chain NYC Film Festival), Beyond The Silent Night (G&E Productions), Self-Fulfilling Prophecy (to be submitted to international film festivals in Europe). He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in classics, where he appeared in multiple student plays and films; for his senior thesis he wrote Late, Late Frogs, an adaptation of Aristophanes' Frogs, which he is currently producing. He speaks five languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Latin, and Ancient Greek), and has trained extensively in Shakespeare, Chekhov, the Greeks, and Linklater, Adler, and Meisner techniques.
