- First worked on productions in television at Kalamazoo's Community Access Station.
- Graduated from Mattawan High School in 2001.
- In the summer of 2006 established his own production company, XELA Film.
- Paid $1500 to help edit and do cinematography for a church documentary in the summer of 2006. This was his first professional documentary that he worked on.
- Called "Stickboy" all throughout High School because of how skinny he was.
- He was awarded the Teaching, Learning and Communication (TLC) Award in 2006 for his innovative uses of technology in the academic environment for the XELA Film company logo.
- Favorite films include: The Last Samurai (2003), Good Will Hunting (1997), Lost in Translation (2003), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), _Crash_, Seven (1995), and Heat (1995).
- His short film "Single Life" was accepted to the Faith in Innovation Film Festival in Traverse City in 2005.
- Held a chair on the Ethnic and Cultural Diversity Committee in Marquette, Michigan.
- Received the Charles C. Spooner Award in 2007.
- Worked to bring Edward James Olmos to lecture at Northern Michigan University in 2007 to get a chance to meet him and hear him speak. Olmos is one of his favorite actors and directors.
- Received the Spirit of Diversity Award in 2007.
- Received the Superior Edge in 2007.

- Attending Northern Michigan University's Art and Design Program studying filmmaking techniques. (September 2004)
- Working on his first professional directorial debut, his production company's first short film, "With Nothing Left". The film is going to be shot in the Marquette area in Michigan. Production is scheduled for early January 2007. (November 2006)
- Graduation from Nortern Michigan University with a degree in Film/Video and a minor in Media Production. (May 2007)
