In Running Into Me Vickie Tanner tells the compelling story of her remarkable struggle to defy the odds and succeed. Raised in a poor, urban neighborhood of Compton, CA. she was surrounded by a drug and prison culture which she embraced, rejected, and ultimately sought to escape. Vickie plays various characters from her troubled past, while weaving interviews with today's teenagers through her story, taking the audience on a roller coaster ride into the minds of young people, while simultaneously painting a vivid and insightful portrait of her own odyssey-like journey. Running Into Me is performed with one chair, one prop, a bit of music and lots of physical action. It runs 1 hour and 15 minutes.
