Abi Jasper

Abi is a Western Australian artist, writer, and educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts. Working under the banner of Nankeen Studio, her practice spans painting and visual storytelling of 'place', with exhibited works reflecting a strong interest in environment, experience, identity, and emotional nuance. Her creative background informs a visually intuitive and character-focused approach to screen writing and filmmaking. The Transition of Z marks Abi’s debut in film as both writer, director, and performer. Her work on the project draws on her experience in the arts and education, bringing a thoughtful, empathetic lens to story and character. With a natural inclination toward narrative and a growing interest in screen storytelling, she continues to expand her creative practice into film.
