ONuel Ofeno is a dynamic Nigerian filmmaker, cinematographer, and multimedia creative whose work bridges storytelling, sound, and visual innovation. With a strong foundation in both engineering and the arts, he has built a reputation for crafting emotionally resonant and visually compelling films across Nollywood and the independent film circuit.
He began gaining recognition with early works such as Breakout (2020) and Sinking Sand (2020), where he served as producer, co-director, and editor-demonstrating a rare versatility behind the camera. Over the years, ONuel has continued to evolve as a filmmaker, directing and producing impactful projects including Stages of Life (2024), an epic adaptation inspired by the book by Ben N. Kalu, and Gone Wrong (2025), where he took on the roles of director, director of photography, and final editor.
His short films have earned critical recognition on the festival circuit. Reflection (2025), which he produced and directed, was officially selected and nominated at two film festivals, while The Red Room also received multiple nominations. His growing influence in innovative storytelling was further affirmed with two awards from NEMCEA: Best Short Funny Documentary (2024) and Best AI Short Film (2025).
Beyond filmmaking, ONuel Ofeno is a celebrated voiceover artist and sound producer, widely known for his viral and humorous Garri commercial in 2023. He has created and voiced compelling radio and television adverts for major brands, as well as composed memorable soundtracks and brand songs that amplify storytelling through sound.
His media journey includes a notable presence in broadcasting. He served as Broadcast Head during his NYSC in Abia State (2017-2018) and later became an on-air personality at Flo 94.9FM, where he gained popularity through shows like Make a Friend, Remember the Time, and The Flo Ride. His engaging style and ability to connect with audiences further established him as a versatile communicator and entertainer.
An outstanding graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori-where he ranked among the top three in his class of 2016-ONuel brings analytical precision into his creative process, blending technical discipline with artistic vision.
