Biography

Gianandrea Noseda was born in 1964 in Milan, Italy. He is an actor, known for National Memorial Day Concert (1989), The Metropolitan Opera Presents (1977) and RoxBlog Classical Music (2017). He is married to Lucia.

Musical America named him its Conductor of the Year for 2015.

He was the first foreign-born principal guest conductor of the Mariinsky Theatre. He is principal guest conductor of the Israel Philharmonic. He has been music director of the BBC Philharmonic in Manchester, England, and the Teatro Regio in Turin, Italy.

He and his wife met as students at the Milan Conservatory in Italy.
