Xiaoyu Wu(V)

Xiaoyu (Sabrina) Wu is a Chinese sound mixer and director base in NYC. In school, she has directed and written 4 short films. But she's also very interested in sound mixing and decided to make it as her career. She began her work as a freelance sound mixer after she graduated from Emerson College in the major of Media Art Production in 2022. She's been building connections with different films schools' students and professional filmmakers in New York. In 2023, she worked for Redline Studios as assistant editor and assistant sound mixer as a contractor. In this year, she's join production of various short films, feature films, documentaries and commercials. In all, she has done over 50+ productions. In 2024, the vertical tv-mini series started to grow in the U.S.. At first, she worked as a sound mixer for multiple series. Then by coincidence and her own willingness and ability, she became as the assistant director for 6 vertical series. In November, she had the chance to direct her first tv series, and after that she's directed 4 vertical series. She has done over 15+ vertical series shooting in total as director, assistant director, and sound mixer, for various platforms, including Reelshort, Shortmax, short tv, Dramabox, dreame, moboreel, kalos tv, good short, and other various vertical series platforms. She's been continuing her career as a vertical director and a horizontal sound mixer.
