Michelle Alexandria is a Los Angeles-based film producer and President of Light Year Pictures, a production and distribution company founded in 2019 with a focus commercially driven films and series for the global marketplace.
With more than two decades in the entertainment industry, Michelle’s career spans film financing, production, acquisitions, international sales, and distribution. Prior to the entertainment industry, she served as Finance Manager for Jaguar Cars, working with high-net-worth clientele and major financial institutions developing a strong foundation in financial structuring. Since transitioning into entertainment, Michelle has worked with a number of international sales and distribution companies, including Australia-based Odin’s Eye Entertainment, Archstone Distribution, Myriad Pictures, Glass House Distribution, and Topanga Pictures, gaining extensive experience and relationships internationally.
Michelle recently executive produced the upcoming biographical drama Maserati: The Brothers in Rome, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Bobby Moresco (Crash) and starring Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Michele Morrone, and Jessica Alba. She also recently completed the faith and family feature Ethan Almighty, based on a true story and starring Kelsey Grammer, Brandon Routh, Selma Blair, and Trevor Donovan.
Her recent producing credits also include the equestrian family feature Kaitlyn’s Chance, starring Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints) and Jennifer Taylor (Two and a Half Men); the romantic drama Before We Leave Tuscany, starring Lili Bordán (Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, The Nun); and the science-fiction feature Life Cycle 360, starring Adrian Paul (Highlander: The Series).
For more than 24 years, Michelle has maintained an active presence at major international film markets and festivals, including Cannes, the American Film Market, Berlin, Buenos Aires, and UniFrance, developing longstanding relationships throughout the international production, sales, acquisitions, and distribution sectors.
Michelle is a proud member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) on the Producers Council. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Burbank International Film Festival. Her extensive background across production, financing, acquisitions, and global distribution brings a distinctly commercial perspective to her work, combining creative filmmaking with a deep understanding of the international marketplace.
