Derrick Brooks was born on April 18, 1973 in Pensacola, Florida, USA. He is a producer and actor, known for The Birth of a Nation (2016), They Fight (2026) and Untitled 10th Mountain Division Movie. He is married to Carol. They have three children.

Spent the entire 2009 season as an unsigned free agent.

Linebacker with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1995-2008).

Announced his official retirement, 11 August 2010.

Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
