Jerry Porter was born on July 14, 1978 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA.

In 2002, He started in all three playoff games at WR and finished first in the NFL in receiving yards with 237, which also ranked third in the NFL playoffs for total yards from scrimmage.

Released by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Porter signed a six-year, $30 million contract in 2008 that included $10 million guaranteed.
