Biography

Justin Low is a Chinese-Canadian actor, writer, producer, composer, and guitarist. Drawn to storytelling from an early age, he spent his childhood creating short films, songs, and "Low" budget productions with his sisters.

In 2024, Justin began pursuing a professional career in film and music, studying the craft while performing in film, theatre, and as a musician. He has appeared in productions from internationally acclaimed film schools and independent filmmakers throughout Vancouver, while also collaborating behind the camera as a director, producer, writer, and composer. He is a co-founder of Low Family Productions and is also a part of the multimedia collective PickWhip Productions.

Alongside acting, Justin has begun working as a film composer, drawing on his experience as a live and session guitarist/vocalist to create original scores for independent films.

In 2026, Justin wrote, directed, and starred in The Outtakes, which received the Audience Choice Award at the Abbotsford 48 Hour Film Competition. That same year, Plantating, a short film he wrote, produced, scored, and starred in, was selected among the Top 40 films in the Run N Gun Film Festival.

Justin also holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Education Studies and has a background in gymnastics and stunt work, all of which inform his unique approach to filmmaking and performance.
