Aatos Äijö's enthusiasm for cinema arose at a very young age and especially in his youth, going through film history and attending archive screenings provided a significant foundation for the passion for filmmaking that arose at the same time.
Äijö made his first feature film "Tulkintoja" at the age of 17 and his next short film "Työtaakka" was selected to the national competition of the Tampere Film Festival.
In his films, Äijö explores everyday themes of human life. Effects whose weight we may not always recognize, but which nevertheless have a wide-ranging impact.
