Biography

Gianfranco Pellegrini was born in Milan, Italy and moved to Switzerland at the age of four. After five years he returned in Italy to live in Chiari, Brescia, where he currently resides.

Developing a keen passion for storytelling since a young age, Gianfranco studied Film and Set Design at a Liberal Arts Academy in Brescia. It was during this period that he began taking jobs as an assistant set decorator and as a videographer.

The former helped him develop a keen aesthetic eye and a thorough understanding of the inner workings of a film set while the latter, doing mostly on-the-fly shoots, greatly honed his improvisational skills. As an assistant director Gianfranco always strives to maintain an energetic and well-coordinated atmosphere on set, finishing on time being his chief concern second only to the well-being of the cast and crew.

As a writer/director Gianfranco has no preferences in regards to genre or theme. His works can go from being thoughtful, emotional and personal as much as they can be fun and light-hearted. The common thread in his works is the sincerity with which he tells the story.
