Overview

  • Height
    5′ 3″ (1.60 m)

Biography

  • Born in Boston, MA, and raised in Canton, MA, Wendy-the child of first-generation Haitian immigrants-was drawn to the creative arts early. Acting, dancing, and singing became a joyful way of life. At Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA, she was able to explore photography in addition to performing arts. Looking to please her immigrant parents, Wendy earned a Political Science degree from Tufts University while still pursuing her joy through performance. She produced, directed and performed with the Black Theater Company while at Tufts University. After graduation, she went on to work in the Governor's office of Massachusetts but resigned when she realized it left no time for the arts. It was then that Wendy knew she wanted a career in Acting. Wendy moved to New York and studied at HB Studios. She performed in student films and with small theatre companies, like the Present Tense Theater Project, while simultaneously pursuing a Finance career with HSBC. Earning her Series 7 and 63 drew her further into Finance, but Wendy once again chose performing, leaving her successful Finance career, and moving to Los Angeles. Wendy immediately linked arms with the highly acclaimed Moving Arts Theatre Company while also pursuing Film & TV.

With Moving Arts, Wendy was able to spread her wings, performing in multiple main stage plays including Terence Anthony's Blood and Thunder, Trey Nichols' Father's at a Game, and Dana Schwartz' Early Birds. With Punk Money Productions, she performed in PL.A.Y Noir: The Coming Storm. She directed and wrote works that were produced for One-Act Festivals and other performance events. She was an associate producer and performer in the Car Plays at La Jolla Playhouse's WOW Festival. While living in LA, Wendy also had the opportunity to perform in film, television and commercials.

In 2020, amidst the pandemic, Wendy continued to perform via online readings including the Isolation Inn project, which incorporated Zoom as its own character in the piece, exploring current events and dealing with the traumas of the pandemic. Wendy is currently on the East Coast with her husband, Leo, and two dogs, Henry and Foxy, travelling West when duty calls. In the post-pandemic new normal, Wendy's mission is to use her dynamic strengths, agility, and adaptability not only to entertain but to bring meaningful, empathetic, healing content to life.
