Anya Ostrovskaia

Anya Ostrovskaia is a London-based theatre and film director whose work explores themes of identity, freedom, and justice. Born in Moscow to a family of Ukrainian Jews, her art is deeply rooted in her personal connection to history and identity. Through her multidisciplinary practice, she explores themes of oppression and personal and collective trauma. Her recent project The World of Yesterday, (Camden Fringe, Voila) is an experimental cabaret theatre piece exploring the life of Stefan Zweig as an Austrian Jewish writer, living through Europe's descent into two World Wars.
