Biography

Karen Y. McClain is a SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association (AEA) actress, singer, and writer whose career spans television, film, and theatre. Recognized for her warm screen presence, natural comedic timing, and versatility, she has appeared in numerous acclaimed television series, including Young Sheldon, Two and a Half Men, Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Will & Grace, Real Husbands of Hollywood, 9-1-1, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and The Middle.

A seasoned stage performer, Karen has portrayed leading and memorable roles in productions such as Effie in Dreamgirls, Nell in Ain't Misbehavin', Mama Euralie in Once on This Island, BJ in Smokey Joe's Café, and Sister Hubert in Nunsense.
