Violetta Gunina(I)

Violetta Gunina is an innovator in Russian independent cinema. She began her career as a producer by producing her own films in the project Sezones. Her work is a mythologizing of Russian cities through local symbols, legends, images, and meanings. In Violetta's films, the most underrated genres of cinema - the Soviet fairy tale, Indian dance films, and even silent film - are revealed from a surprisingly new perspective. In 2024, she attended a film camp led by world-renowned director Sergei Debizhev, who became interested in her debut work as a producer. Over the course of 2024-2025, Violetta has taken on three film projects with state funding.
