Over the past 25 years, Jay has honed his craft in the conception and execution of lighting across a hugely diverse range of styles, from beauty lighting or a dramatic narrative look to stylized lighting of stage sets and venues for music, game shows, and comedy specials. This is orchestrated in tandem with his mastery in the technical and aesthetic use of the camera, in both single-camera and multi-cam cinema style, to tell a story, convey a mood, or cover the action. Jay was also instrumental in creating the look and style of the Emmy Award-winning children's show, Yo Gabba Gabba, as the series director of photography. He is an Emmy Award Winner for Outstanding Cinematography on Disney's Magical Christmas Celebration, a Member of the International Cinematographers Guild. Jay has two beautiful rescue dogs named Blanche and Edgar.
