Caroline Labaki

Caroline Labaki is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker, director, writer and actor known for her distinctive storytelling and visually arresting style. She graduated from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Theater, Audiovisual, and Cinematic Studies, laying the foundation for a career that bridges powerful narratives with innovative visuals. Labaki is the director of her first feature film Bornstars, and the short film #175 in the acclaimed Lebanese film series Beirut 6:07. Her work often explores themes of coming-of-age and lighthearted comedies, earning her recognition both regionally and internationally. Caroline is married to Lebanese-American film producer Chady Eli Mattar and is the sister of award winning Director Nadine labaki.
