Brooklyn A. Kelley is a producer and director dedicated to building spaces where authenticity and artistry can thrive. As the Founder and Producer of Dicentra Studios LLC, Brooklyn leads projects that amplify underrepresented voices and center stories rooted in truth, empathy, and lived experience. A film student at The University of Texas at Austin, Brooklyn has produced multiple narrative and documentary projects, hosted events, and mentored emerging talent, helping to bridge the gap between academic training and real-world production. Her work has earned official selections at film festivals, reflecting a commitment to stories that resonate beyond the classroom.
In 2026, Brooklyn was selected as a Fellow in the Soho House x Creative Futures Collective Mentorship Program, where she has focused on establishing Dicentra Studios as a recognized production house and hosting community events that bring artists together, foster collaboration, and strengthen the creative ecosystem around her work.
In 2022, Brooklyn founded Nellie's Haven of Hope, a nonprofit initiative created to educate and provide resources about the disproportionate reality of Black women affected by pancreatic cancer. Named in honor of her late grandmother, the organization focuses on awareness, education, and access to support for individuals and families navigating the disease.
Brooklyn founded Dicentra Studios to challenge the industry's overemphasis on marketability and to create a home for filmmakers whose stories might otherwise go unheard. The studio's mission is to decrease barriers to creativity by providing access, resources, and community support for emerging and underrepresented artists. Guided by compassion, collaboration, and purpose, Brooklyn continues to produce films and programs that highlight resilience, identity, and creative integrity, proving that storytelling from the heart has the power to inspire, connect, and transform.
