Biography

Edward J Marsh is a British actor based in Mumbai, India. Born in the south of England, he is a native speaker of Queen's English and brings a distinctive, unhurried British presence to every role. His path to acting is anything but conventional. After twenty-five years working internationally in the music industry, including artist management, film production, and music supervision, Edward transitioned into storytelling for film and publishing before finding his footing in front of the camera. He has lived a genuinely international life: fourteen years in Japan, fifteen years in India, extended time in Thailand, and periods living and working across Australia, the United States, and beyond. His deep, long-term experience of India in particular gives him a rare authenticity when playing historical, expatriate, or cross-cultural characters. Standing 6'3" with shoulder-length light brown hair and warm brown eyes, Edward has a commanding yet approachable screen presence. He made his feature film debut in the biblical epic Daniel: The Fiery Furnace, shot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He has since appeared in the pan-Indian period drama Ranabaali alongside Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, and in the Amazon Prime Video series The Revolutionaries, directed by Nikkhil Advani.

As Artist Manager for Ben Watkins of Juno Reactor, oversaw the band's contributions to the soundtracks of The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions alongside composer Don Davis, and the Animatrix with animator Koji Morimoto.

Spent fourteen years living in Japan, where he worked in the music and film industry, including as Music Supervisor on the English language version of the anime feature film Brave Story (2006), directed by Koichi Chigira.

Lived in India for fifteen years before relocating to Mumbai to pursue his acting career. Speaks Queen's English as a native speaker with no regional accent, often described as BBC English.
