Michael Dukhnych is an international cellist, composer, sound producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his work in film and television. He has contributed prominent cello solos to major Hollywood productions, including Loki 2 (Marvel), Star Wars: Acolyte, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Hans Zimmer's Planet Earth III, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Gran Turismo, Godzilla, and Captain America: Brave New World.
Trained at the University of Arts in Graz, Michael holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees with honors. He is an active member of the Synchron Stage Orchestra in Vienna and the award-winning Chamber Orchestra Ensembles Esperanza. As a versatile performer, he also plays jazz harmonica and multi-instrumental roles in theater and concert settings.
Since 2022, Michael has contributed as a solo cellist to numerous recordings with the Synchron Stage Orchestra in Vienna, involved in projects associated with composers like Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe, Aleksei Igudesman, and Laura Karpman. In 2025, he participated in live performances at Dubai Opera alongside Hans Zimmer and Aleksei Igudesman. His work spans a range of styles including classical, jazz, and electronic music, highlighting his diverse experience as both a soloist and ensemble musician in the film and music industries.
