Gertrud Hellbrand

Gertrud Hellbrand is a Swedish author and writing teacher. She was first published in 2004 through the novel "Vinthunden" (The Greyhound) which was followed by the notable and controversial "Scenario X" (2008). Hellbrand has since then published five novels, where "Veterinären" (The Veterinarian) (2014) depicts the rise of equestrian sports in Sweden from the 1950s through the lives of a family, became her real breakthrough.
