Biography

Matthew Riggs is an actor from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, where he was born, raised, and continues to reside. He began his professional acting career in 2024 after entering the industry as a background performer on the feature film Carolina Caroline.

Since then, Riggs has built experience across film and television productions associated with Lifetime, Hallmark, Magnolia, and Raven Banner Entertainment. He is best known for his lead role in the Point Park University student film Bones in the Ocean, a performance that marked an important step in his transition from background work to principal roles.

Committed to developing his craft, Riggs has trained with Actors Theatre of Louisville, Lex Studios, and Academy Arts Entertainment. He is particularly drawn to horror and period projects, where he enjoys exploring layered characters and emotionally driven storytelling.

Prior to his acting career, Riggs served in the United States Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and deployed to Afghanistan in support of combat operations. His military service helped shape the discipline, adaptability, and work ethic he brings to every production.
