Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as NTR Jr., is an Indian actor who works in Telugu cinema. Widely regarded as one of the finest actor, he is known for his versatility, blending intense, raw acting with nuanced emotional depth and exceptional dialogue modulation across multiple languages. A trained Kuchipudi dancer, he has performed on both national and international platforms and is celebrated as one of the finest dancers in Indian cinema.

He is one of the highest-paid and highest-grossing actors in Indian cinema. He is particularly renowned for his ability to execute complex acting sequences, monologues and intricate choreography in a single take.

The grandson of Indian matinee idol and politician N.T. Rama Rao. His family hails from Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh and he was born in Hyderabad, India. He made his debut as a child artist in the National Award-winning film Ramayanam (1996). He later achieved his breakthrough with Student No: 1 (2001) and the action drama Aadi (2002). He is the youngest actor to deliver an industry hit in Telugu cinema with Simhadri (2003). Over the years, he has received numerous national and international accolades for his performances. He gained global recognition with the film RRR (Rise Roar Revolt) (2022) , which won multiple national and international honors-including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe-and became a record-breaking box office success. He is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
