Jeremiah Louis
- Actor
- Director
- Writer
Originally from Kansas, USA, and now based in Melbourne, Australia, Jeremiah Louis is an actor, writer, and singer-songwriter drawn to work that lives in moral complexity, characters who carry contradiction, concealment, and the weight of unspoken things.
Jeremiah's path to the screen was unconventional. Before stepping in front of a camera, he built a successful career as an interior designer, developing a sharp instinct for detail, atmosphere, and the way physical space shapes human behavior and sensibilities that now run through everything he does as a performer. Of Eastern European and Native American heritage, he brings a layered, culturally rooted perspective to the roles he inhabits.
A National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) graduate, Jeremiah has trained with some of Australia's most respected actors and coaches, including Ryan Corr, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Danielle Carter, Nicholas Coughlan, Tanya Schnieder, Shawn Goss, Jacinta Stapleton, and Rena Owen. That rigorous foundation underpins an approach to character that is deeply physical, psychologically precise, and unafraid of stillness.
On screen, he gravitates toward roles that resist easy resolution. He is in development on I Wear You, his debut pilot, which he wrote. He also stars in the upcoming prologue series Brutal and its follow-up feature Fatal, playing Eli, an intense director whose carefully constructed exterior conceals a dangerous secret.
Alongside his screen work, Jeremiah is a trained singer-songwriter currently recording his debut EP, you are loved. He is a proud member of the MEAA. Written July, 2026
