Fiona Phillips(III)
Fiona Phillips is an Australian Labor Party politician who serves as the Member of Parliament for the federal electorate of Gilmore, in New South Wales. She was first elected in the 2019 federal election, winning the seat from the Liberal Party. She was re-elected in the 2022 federal election by a very narrow margin of just 373 votes, making Gilmore the most marginal electorate in Australia at that time. She has successfully held the seat again in the most recent 2025 federal election, this time with a significantly larger margin of almost 10,000 votes, indicating a strong swing towards her. Her involvement in politics began with a local campaign to save a swimming pool. She served in various roles within the ALP's New South Wales branch before being elected to federal parliament, including President of the South Coast state electoral council. She is a member of the Labor Left faction.
