Eric Blackburn is a seasoned Reporter and Photojournalist with a deep passion for storytelling, spanning filmmaking and broadcast journalism. Raised in Camarillo, California, Eric began creating his narrative skills early, writing, directing, and producing his own short films. After high school, he honed his craft in Hollywood, gaining hands-on experience at Panavision, contributing to feature films and television projects.
Pursuing further education, Eric earned a bachelor's degree in English and History before relocating to Southwest Florida. There, he started as a Videographer at WWSB-TV ABC7, later advancing to a Reporter/Photojournalist role at SNN News 6. In 2008, he joined WTVT-TV FOX13, becoming part of the Good Day Tampa Bay morning show team.
In 2011, Eric founded BLACKBURNfilms, producing and managing film, television, and video projects for clients until 2020. Today, he continues to lend his expertise as a freelance consultant, producer, and manager for film, TV, and video productions.
