Wendy Thomas is a British award winning actress, screenwriter and producer in Film and Theatre recognised for her compelling performances and unique storytelling. Trained in acting in London's Actors Studio and AMAW London, she also graduated from the prestigious University of Westminster in Film & Television. Wendy co-starred as Gemma in the critically acclaimed award winning feature The Ninth Cloud (2014) starring Michael Madsen and Jean-Hugues Anglade directed by Jane Spencer. An indie favourite which she also produced.
She began her career on stage, performing leading roles in contemporary and modern classics in London and Berlin and then transitioned into film and fell in love with independent movies. Wendy further demonstrated her versatility in the feature film Hitman (1997) as Consuela and as Detective O'Hara opposite Gary Webster in Trouble on Earth (1998). As an actress she has worked on multiple independent films and theatre productions. She recently played the role of Teresa in Jane Spencer's award winning feature South of Hope Street (2024) with Michael Madsen and Billie Baldwin.
Wendy has written an original new screenplay, The Universe Skips A Beat , which she is producing with her production company. She has created a TV Series, Obsessive Compulsive Love Disorder (OCLD), a drama-comedy, executive produced with Steven Adams. Along with a TV series Art Darlings, a drama/ thriller and a feature film, Wonderland, a thriller/drama where glamour meets internet crime. All part of a slate at Wendy's production company, Obsessive Compulsive Films.
Wendy started out in her teens as a singer in a band with Art and Stew, who wrote a Tony winning Broadway musical based on the bands many adventures in Europe, later made into a movie, 'Passing Strange' directed by Spike Lee.
In 2026 she will be appearing in the upcoming comedy feature, The Road to Nevermore, directed by Jane Spencer and her current feature film roles are Suzanne Duchamp in The Velvet Gentleman with Rosanna Arquette and Jean-Hugues Anglade. Wendy is a member of Equity, spotlight and has a Producers Guild of America (pga) certificate.
