Biography

Kyla Kralapp is a 2025 graduate of the film, television, and media program at the University of Michigan where she studied screenwriting and creative writing, and learned to write for television as an assistant showrunner in The Writer’s Room--a student-led writing group modeled after professional TV writing rooms--where participants collaborate to conceptualize, develop, and script an entirely original season of television. She is the writer/director of the short film Not Only You & Me and the writer/producer of the viral short film Who You Wanted All The Time starring Olivier nominee Diego Andres Rodriguez, and was awarded undergraduate Hopwood Awards in both screenwriting and fiction. Her poems and short stories have been published in numerous independent publications.
