Biography

Konstantin Bidnenko is a Ukrainian filmmaker and member of the National Union of Filmmakers of Ukraine. After earning a Master's degree in Filmmaking in London, he continued his career in the British film industry.

His filmmaking explores resilience, human dignity, and the transformative power of cinema. Most notably, the short film Romchyk has gained international recognition, screening at Academy, BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying festivals. The film has won five awards and received ten nominations.

Konstantin's films have been featured by BBC World News and presented at high-profile events, including a historic private screening for Pope Francis at the Vatican during the World Conference on the Protection of Children's Rights -marking the first time a short film was showcased in this format at the Vatican.

The film was also screened at the European Parliament in Brussels, where it received extensive coverage from international media. His recent work includes Shards of Us and Dirt, the latter created with support from the Coppola Family Grant and featuring Olena Khokhlatkina, People's Artist of Ukraine. Konstantin continues to develop projects that highlight powerful human stories and contribute to the international recognition of Ukrainian cinema.
