Biography

Visual Effects Artist based in Cape Town, South Africa with 5+ years experience in the industry, having worked on commercials for some of the world's largest brands, music videos for SA's leading musical acts, and more recently transitioning into episodic TV shows and feature films. Specializing in Nuke Compositing, Blender 3D, Houdini and After Effects, Julian has worked at South Africa's leading VFX houses including The Refinery, Wicked Pixels, Midnight VFX and Lenscowboy. Julian also works as a Voice Over Artist as an extra-curricular outside of VFX, where he is signed as a talent at Cosher Studios and has voiced characters in over 10 foreign language films and animation projects. Julian is a 2020 Graduate of AFDA The School for the Creative Economy and works at The Refinery in Cape Town and as an independent freelancer as of 2026.
