Jo Manser is a UK-based Production Designer and Supervising Art Director with over 20 years’ experience delivering visually ambitious feature films and cinematic documentary drama. Known for large-scale builds, historically precise environments, and grounded realism, his work spans period epics, contemporary thrillers, and feature-led documentary projects.
Recent credits include Ignition (2025-26), a real-time thriller directed by James Erskine; Charles de Gaulle - Parts I & II (Pathé), where he oversaw the redesign of the Oval Office with museum-grade accuracy; and the period feature Captain Webb. Joseph has led large international art departments across complex, multi-million-pound productions, collaborating closely with directors, cinematographers, SFX and VFX teams to create immersive, performance-driven worlds.
He is based in the UK and works internationally.
