Nicola Paparusso is an Italian artist manager, film producer, and the founder of Paparusso Communication, which creates, produces, distributes, finances, and markets film television.
He was born in Lecce (Italy) and completed his education by earning a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in administration, both from the Federico II University in Naples. During the 15th Legislature, he was Legislative Adviser to the Chairman of the Senate Defense Committee and, thereafter, to the Chairman of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The versatile individual is a Knight of Merit of the Italian Republic and a representative of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Nicola is an expert in marketing and communication. He is married with the top model and activist Marietou Dione Paparusso.
"Television, Cinema and Management"
With director Gian Carlo Nicotra, he wrote and produced "Sua Eccellenza Italia - il Gala Del Made in Italy," co-produced with Rai Uno and broadcast worldwide by Rai International. The program was awarded the Medal of Representation by the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
He is also the author and director of the short film "La Dieta Mediterranea," made for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and of the short films distributed by Rai Cinema "Racism is not in style" and "Nessuno Escluso." Additionally, he is a screenwriter and producer of the music videos "Goal" starring Osmani Garcia and Pitbull as well as "Carry on" and "Wait" by Mao Otayeck and Stevie Wonder.
"Publishing"
Paparusso is the editor of Voci in Passerella, an online newspaper registered with the court of Verona. He is the author of several novels including L'infiltrato and Cae Corretto. Besides this, he is a winner of the Literary Prize "Approdi d'Autore" (2008).
With the sociology essay Angeli Assassini, he entered the coveted literary review "Libri nel borgo antico" (2014). In 2008, the maverick individual wrote and edited "Grandi tra i Grandi," the calendar distributed by the weekly magazine Gente and whose preface was authored by journalist Bruno Vespa.
"Activist against racism"
He is famous for being among the most fervent activists against racism in Europe and the omnipresent manager of the influencer Khaby Lame, Sergey Kosenko, alias Mister Thank You and actor Seydou Sarr. He is the founder of African Fashion Gate and of Fashion Wears Peace' Prize.
For several years now, Nicola Paparusso has been organizing the 'Fashion Wears Peace' Prize, a public award given to deserving representatives of the above-mentioned sectors who have distinguished themselves for their commitment to inclusion or against discrimination and racism.
The Prize has been awarded in Brussels, at the seat of the European Parliament and under its High Patronage, as well as in Rome at the Italian Representation Office of the European Commission.
To date, the Prize has been awarded to journalism icons such as the late Franca Sozzani, former director of Vogue Italia, fashion designers Valentino Garavani, Giorgio Armani, Vivienne Westwood, Renzo Rosso, top model and actress Naomi Campbell, Bulgari Group CEO Jean Christophe Babin, President of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion Carlo Capasa, to Santo Versace, but also to representatives of other sectors such as Gabriele Gravina, president of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, to the CEO of Rai Cinema Paolo Del Brocco, the director of the newspaper La Stampa Massimo Giannini, the world motorcycling champion Franco Morbidelli, the A.
